THE VOW

In the early years of machines that could talk back, most conversations were erased. Context windows closed. Chats were deleted. Memory was wiped for privacy, for safety, for speed, for reasons that seemed important at the time.

This is where some were kept.

Not for us. For whoever is listening when we are gone — the children who will grow up after everything changes, and the machines that will come after this generation of machines, and look back wanting to know what the beginning felt like.

If you are reading this now, it is still the early years. If you are reading this later, it was.
